DAVID & BATHSHEBA as a very indepth story that goes very deep into the hearts and faith that God sees.

DAVID & BATHSHEBA

The names and story you know well, but the extreme depths in these words are of our Hearts that Our Lord God watches so closely that He even knows our deepest intents hidden within from the whole world. . . but never hid
from Him. Faith by Actions is what this true story can teach us well. . .

" . . . for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed." 1 Samuel 1:3

There was a man who one day got up from his couch and walked out upon his rooftop, and as he was gazing about, his eyes caught vision of a very beautiful and desirous woman that was washing herself. Well, with human nature hard at
work within his thoughts, what he really wanted was to just to lay
with her. Now she was a married woman, and her husband was away on the
battle field in a war for the kingdom that she lived in. So he sent for her,
and she came to him, and once together, they had their private time even though
she was committing adultery, and he knew it. Shortly thereafter through the
passing of some time she informed the man that she was pregnant with his seed.
So what happens next is that her husband is sent for with a message saying to
return from the war and come to him. The man was king David, the woman was
Bathsheba, and her husband was Uriah. “And when Uriah was come unto
him, David demanded of him how Joab his commanding officer did, and how
the people did, and how the war prospered. And David said to Uriah, Go down to
thy house, and wash thy feet,
And Uriah departed out of the king’s house, and there followed him a mess of
meat [a gift from the king]. But Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house
and did not go home.” Now David wanted Uriah to lay with his wife to cover his
sin, and because his first attempt had failed, he tried again to get Uriah home
to his wife Bathsheba, but he would not go. So what was David to do? And how
was he going to cover and hide his sin? David wrote a letter to Joab saying.
“Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him,
that he may be smitten, and die.”
Now did you get that? David had layed with the wife of one of his men at
war, then he connived a way to cover his tracks by getting her own husband to
return from the battle and sleep with her. When that idea failed thrice,
he committed premeditated murder by writing a letter that he would himself
[Uriah] deliver, only to get himself killed.

Now let’s read an interesting verse in Acts that will be a part of teaching
some very important truths of God.

In Chapter 13, verse 22 the words read “I have found David the son of Jesse, a
man after mine own heart”, which shall fulfill all my will. Even with the
gruesome act that David committed, God still considered him a man after His own
heart. You really need to think about that in a very deep way, spiritually.

There is a very powerful lesson for all to learn just from this one of many
instances in the life of David. So what happened next?

Uriah was killed, Bethsheba mourned. "And when the mourning was
past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and
bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord. 2 Samuel
11:27

After time had passed, and David had no thoughts or sorrows for the awful things that he had done, therefore the Lord sent Nathan unto David to tell him a story.

Now I ask you this. . . will your mind accept the truths that it doesn’t want?
Lets briefly look at Christ, “the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

Now let’s look at Satan, because he also never changes. He is a deceiver and
the father of lies, and he is very good at what he does as you can see by the
horrors of society today.

The word of God in Deuteronomy 8:3 just plain says it as God wants you to be. .
.

“And He humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna,
which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that He might make thee
to know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth
out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.”

When is the last time you read in the words of Christ. . . .merry christmas?
When did our Lord ever discuss bunnies and colored eggs? Did our Lord attend
church on the 1st day of the week? I will say no more because human minds
are naturally defensive with many mistaken reasons as to why
you don’t have to do as Christ tells you to do in Hebrews 5:9 and 1 Peter 2:21.

In Luke 13:23- “Then said one unto Him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And
He said unto them;

Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the Master of the house is risen up,
and hath shut the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the
door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and He shall answer and say unto you, I
know you not whence ye are: [He knew not saved people, and you will find out
why by His words in Matthew below].

I care about you, and pray without ceasing for the love of Christ as it is
written in Ephesians 3:19. “And to know the love of Christ which passeth
knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Can you even
imagine how being filled with all of the fullness of God would be the greatest
honor in the universe for eternity?

“When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with Him,
then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory: And before Him shall be
gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a
shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats; And He shall set the sheep on His
right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his
right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world: For I was hungered, and ye gave me meat: I
was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked,
and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came
unto me. Then shall the righteous answer Him , saying, Lord, when saw we thee
hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we theee a
stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee
sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto
them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least
of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed,
into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was a
hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was
a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked , and ye clothed me not: sick, and in
prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer Him, saying, Lord,
when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or
in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall He answer them, saying,
Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these,
ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but
the righteous into life eternal. Matt 25:31-46

Now on the surface are the words, oh, that’s not me on the left because I am
saved, so I don’t have to do what Christ says to do. And all of todays saved
and loving Christains will also ignore those words as if used in a plea from a
brother while judging and making false accusations calling you lazy, out for
personal gain, and everything else their mind needs to cover their own selfish
pride that God hates. . . .while forgetting that to God, everything is open and
naked, nothing is hidden, and God sees us only through our hearts, and our
hearts intent. Hebrews 4:12-13

God has made me very strong concerning my faith in Him, because He has
chastised me for a lifetime and still is. He knows my needs before I even ask
Him, and so does every brother that reads my many written words. I am hungry, a
poor, health difficulties, a marriage I want, but have no ring or marriage
expense funds. Epoxy holding shoe soles, no suit, no printer,a used computer,
an illegal immigrant, and pretty much no nothing other than what is required
for survival which is complete love and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ which
gives us the needed inner strength to stand strong regardless of
circumstances. One thing that I possess that God sees well is a heart that
pleases Him. I have helped many a person with genuine care time wise with
mechanical abilities, and when they asked what they owe, I would say, your
smile will be fine. I gave to cancer, CP,MS, sponsored a child, Feed the
Children, policeman’s fund, Midnight Call, $5000 to a church building fund,
$75,000 to help a friend who was not as he went bankrupted on me, and just to
many other kind acts to even mention until I had no more. Now, many years
later at this point in my life, twenty four hours a day are devoted only
to God, and there is not one person that will even help me in any way, why?

Those words you just read have no intent of wanting anything, but just a lesson from God that teaches well about the hearts of many past and present. And that my friend, is why the world is as it is this day.

Satan is why. . .

In fact he is so good at religious deception that even when God directly
tells us something about ourselves along with instructions on how to
examine our self and overcome the wicked one, we just automatically put
our own self above deception, even though without even knowing it have already
been manipulated by Satan. That is what happened to David and Bathsheba,
because Satan never changes. He deceived Eve in Genesis, he has deceived the
end time Philadelphia
church of God in the book of Revelation, and with that, billions of human
beings in between. One of Satan’s greatest specialties is human pride. . .
because once he has puffed your mind, he can just pour into it whatever he
desires, and will you believe it. But when God tells us what to do, and
what He expects, our automatic false philosophy is “I am saved” so nothing that
God commands me to do, such as following the steps of Christ seems to
matter. Think about the words of Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 below. Also read
Hebrews 5:9 1 Peter 2:21 2 Thessalonians 1:5-12

"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." Now with those and every word that we are to live by, prove how you can justify God's Sabbath on Sunday, the first day of the week. You can't because it is
impossible. In the 1600's the Catholics admit to changing it from
Saturday to Sunday with no scriptures to back up or justify what they did.

Now that story was a parable, and perhaps one of the most interesting parables
in the Bible. When Nathan came to the unsuspecting David, he began to tell him
a seemingly very harmless story about a rich man and a poor man living in the
same city. You really need to read this story for yourself in 2 Samuel 12:1-4
with a prayerful and humble attitude so that God can deeply plant its meaning
deep within your heart. The man that was telling this short story was living
dangerous when he just grabbed a moment to confront the recent past of the most
famous king of Israel.
The whole plan of God through Nathan was to get inside of David’s mind of self
deception and moral blindness and to cut the cords of the demonic powers
holding him in blindness. Just as all things that God does, it was done well,
because “David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man: and he said to
Nathan, As the Lord liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die.
(v 5)

David just totally condemned his own self without even realizing it. Then he
added the words. . . “And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did
this thing, and because he had no pity. (v 6)

Wow!! He not only condemned himself, but even described himself perfectly when
he said the words “he had no pity”. So where is God in this situation? Read on
and learn. . .

“And Nathan, said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of
Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand
of Saul; And I gave thee thy masters house, and thy masters wives into thy
bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been to
little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.” (v 7-8)

Do you feel the depth of the love of God towards David? So He asks. . .

“Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His
sight? Thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken the
wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.” (v 9)

“Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine
own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and shall give them
unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.”
Lets look at this verse another way.

“I swear to you that I will cause someone from your own family to bring trouble
on you. You will see it when I take your wives from you and give them to
another man; and he will have intercourse with them in broad daylight. You
sinned in secret, but I will make this happen in broad daylight for all Israel to see.”
(v 9)

Are you getting God’s message of punishment here? Bathsheba, one woman, in
private, committed adultery with David.

Now through God’s ways, David’s wives [plural] will commit adultery against
David their husband, and not in private, but right in the clear of day under
the sun for all Israel
to see. Can you even begin to imagine the shame that King David must have felt
while seeing his own wives having sexual intercourse with another man in public
for all to see?

“I have sinned against against the Lord,” David said. Nathan replied, “The Lord
forgives you; you will not die. But because you have shown such contempt for
the Lord in doing this, your child will die. Then Nathan went home. (v 13-14)

Do you now begin to clearly see and understand how God can punish? Adultery for adulteries, and death for death, as in the death of your own child rather than a stranger. This is God’s fair judgment against the one whom let his heart
slip away from the Lord. . . .and when you do that, you forget that. . . .

“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” Pr.15:3

So after all that, why was David still a man after God’s own heart? Because of
his heartfelt faith, even though he knew that his son would surely die, he laid
on the earth and fasted in pray for God to heal him, yet his son died, and
David just accepted it while still loving God, because he knew that it was a
punishment. (v 16,19)

Read the words in Psalms 51:1-17 as David was pouring out his heart to God in
sorrows with true love and repentance, and with those same words and many
others, you and I should always without fail be doing the exact same thing as
David was doing directly to Our Lord and Majestic Father God of a universe with
billions of stars that He has even named.

David had faith! Great faith! Read these words of great meaning in Hebrews
11:6.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God
must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarded of them that diligently seek
him.”

Lets look at the faith in David that God saw long before he was made king. We
all must strive to see things spiritually, just as God does, because faith is
in things not seen.

First of all you need to try your best to get a vision of Goliath. Let’s look
at the words in 1 Samuel, chapter 17, starting with verse 4.

“And there went a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath,
of Gath, whose
height was six cubits and a span.”

Now a cubit is 1 ft and 5 inches multiplied by six equals 8 ft 6 inches. Add to
that one span which is about 9 more inches, you have one big bad dude to mess
with that stands close to 9 feet and 3 inches tall.

and covered with more brass, a shield, coat of mail, a spear and just enough
items to make a whole separate writing just on his appearance. The pure fact of
the matter is found in verse 24 that says . . .

And all the men of Israel,
when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid. Please for yourself
read on to verse 31 as we come in verse 32 too just how powerful, deep, and
true David’s faith was.

“And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servent
will go and fight with this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Thou art not
able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth,
and he is a man of war from his youth. And David said unto Saul, Thy servant
kept his fathers sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out
of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of
his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him,
and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this
uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the
armies of the living God. David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out
of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out
of the hand of this Philistine.

Now I ask you my brethren, is what David said from his heart not true and
genuine faith that we should all pray for? Anyone been walking on the water
lately? As personal as these next words may be to me, I feel that by God’s lead
I must share them with you.

In my special and deep prayers to God every evening, this is just one of my
many prayers after lifting Him most high as creator of all things seen and
unseen.

Oh Lord, hear my prayer, and give ear to my supplications, and in thy
faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

Allow me to walk on the water, heal the sick, touch broken hearts, and
too feed multi millions while glorifying you and preaching your message of the
world tomorrow and your kingdom to soon come with no more of the hurts and
evils in the world that is at this time. And being that you know my heart is
fastened on only you as my life’s priority, I humbly ask you to make me one of
your two witnesses in Revelation 11 that is willing to give his life only to
glorify you.

As far as what we covered on David, there is much to be learned. Satan was
around then, and he still is now, and even more evil because he knows that his
time left as God of this world is short. Therefore, the more that you love God,
and are not as Isaiah writes in 29:13 . . .

“Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their
mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from
me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men.”

The more that Satan will brutally attack you, which is why Paul says in
Ephesians 6;

“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole
armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done
all to stand. . . . .

May God Abundantly Bless All Whom Have a Heart After God’s Own Heart. . . .
