Depression

Pray for my family. My family is being hit hard by depression. I feel like if its not one thing, its another.

I will pray for you.and your family. I, too, have been hit hard. I had a back injury last year and subsequent surgery. I am in chronic pain. I live be myself. My own family doesn't care and provides no help. Even the church doesn't care. Driving is difficult therefore going to get food is difficult. Nobody really cares about people in chronic back pain because it is not life threatening - just life debilitating. It is difficult to to be in so much pain and be completely alone. I am sure of one thing, though. God is here and nearer to me than He ever was and I know He will be with your family, too.; ▶ Reply to This

The part that hurts is when I hear the judgment and accusations from others about the pain my husband is in. The doctors office even gives him guff. Makes a person feel very alone. I will say that it has made our walk with the Lord closer. I know that God is always with me. I just noticed it more when my family or myself is hurt or being attacked by the enemy.; ▶ Reply to This

You brought to mind this psalm - 34:18 - "The Lord is close and to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Never have I felt his presence more than when my suffering, rejection, and lonliness have been the greatest.

Things are looking better. My husband is still feeling a little blue. Its not as bad as it has been lately. Things are lookin up
